From Fr. Ray +

The St. John’s Fellowship Committee met last week and made plans for our Fall and early Winter Fellowship events.  Please put these things on your calendar.

  • September 24:  Lite lunch following worship.  We will meet in either the Chapel or our Garden depending on the weather.
  • October 15:  Lite lunch in the undercroft
  • November 22: Thanksgiving Service followed by snacks in the Chapel
  • December 3: Kick off Advent with a Soup Sampler Supper.  Details and time to be announced.

Fellowship is an important aspect of our life together.  I’ve noticed on Sunday mornings that sometimes the Passing of the Peace gets a bit long due to everyone wanting to visit with each other.  These fellowship events provide a wonderful opportunity to visit and catch up with one another.  I encourage you to make plans to attend each of these events.

Upcoming Special Music in Worship

Next Sunday, September 17, our guest musician will be Mr. Everett Long.  Everett is a favorite at St. John’s and we are looking forward to him being with us.

On September 24, our guest soloist will be Ms. Vivian Hoskins.  This will be Vivian’s first time with us. Please plan on being present and extending her a warm St. John’s welcome!  Don’t forget to stay after worship for the Lite Luncheon sponsored by our Fellowship Committee.

Blessings, Fr. Ray +
