St. John’s Episcopal Church - Sunday, August 20, 2017

From Fr. Ray +

Mark your calendar and dust off your ice cream maker! St. John’s is having a light lunch and homemade ice cream social on Sunday, August 27 following worship!

If you cannot bring homemade ice cream, then feel free to bring “store bought” or toppings. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite family and friends to join you for worship at St. John’s.

More details will be sent in a separate email early next week.

Towards the end of September, I will be leading a six-week Confirmation/Informational Class on The Episcopal Church.  While geared towards those who want to be Confirmed or Received into membership at St. John’s and The Episcopal Church, it will also be an excellent opportunity to refresh your knowledge of our faith tradition. Bishop Benfield’s next pastoral visit to St. John’s will be February 4, 2018, at which time those who have completed the class will have the opportunity to be baptized and/or confirmed.

We are continuing our study of The Apostles’ Creed during Adult Sunday School. We are currently on week 3 of a six-week course. All are welcome!

Blessings, Fr. Ray +
