During Advent I will be leading a study entitled The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem.  This five- session DVD was filmed in the Holy Land and is designed to accompany the 28 daily Advent devotions in the book Walking the Road to Bethlehem: Your Journey to Christmas.  All class participants will receive a copy of the book of Advent devotions.  Classes start on Wednesday, November 30 and conclude on Wednesday, December 28.  Class times are as follows:

Wednesday Evenings @ 6:30 p.m.

Thursday Mornings @ 10:30 a.m.

The change in class times is designed to allow those who wish to do so to attend one of our mid-week Eucharistic Services. On Wednesdays you can attend the Eucharist at 5:30 p.m. and remain for the study group at 6:30 p.m.  On Thursdays you can attend the study group at 10:30 a.m. and remain for the Eucharist at noon.  Blessings! A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS REQUEST FROM ST. FRANCIS HOUSE

St. Francis House is an Episcopal ministry in Little Rock that does a wonderful job caring for needy veterans and others throughout the year. The following request was put out this week as they prepare to help make Christmas brighter for our veterans and other persons in need:

We Need a Little Christmas

Outside our normal budget, we take on several Christmas projects that go to meet the needs of clients that have nowhere else to turn including holiday food gift boxes, gift bags for seniors, and presents for the families not adopted by other ministry drives. St. Francis House practically shuts down for a week as the staff personally packs the gift boxes and a tries to find ways to meet the needs the overlooked and underserved. Join us this holiday season by making a special donation so we can bring as many special memories to families as we can.

Gifts can be made directly to St. Francis House at:

St. Francis House, 2701 S. Elm, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72204.

 (All contributions are tax deductible)

Or, if you prefer, you can write a check to St. John’s, designated for St. Francis House and we will send in all donations in a single check.  Blessings!  Fr. Ray +
