St. John’s Episcopal Church       Sunday, November 13, 2016

It is hard to believe that two weeks from this Sunday is the beginning of Advent!  During Advent I will be leading a study entitled The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem.  This five- session DVD was filmed in the Holy Land and is designed to accompany the 28 daily Advent devotions in the book Walking the Road to Bethlehem: Your Journey to Christmas.  All class participants will receive a copy of the book of Advent devotions.  Classes start on Wednesday, November 30 and conclude on Wednesday, December 28.  Class times are as follows:

Wednesday Evenings @ 6:30 p.m.

Thursday Mornings @ 10:30 a.m.

The change in class times is designed to allow those who wish to do so to attend one of our mid-week Eucharistic Services. On Wednesdays you can attend the Eucharist at 5:30 p.m. and remain for the study group at 6:30 p.m.  On Thursdays you can attend the study group at 10:30 a.m. and remain for the Eucharist at noon.

A sign-up sheet for the Advent Study Classes is located on the table at the back of the church. Or, you can sign up by calling or mailing the church office.  Signing up ahead of time helps me make sure I have adequate books for all participants.

Blessings!---Fr. Ray+
