NOTE FROM YOUR SR. WARDEN:

First, St. John’s has been given funds ($10,000.00) by Pamela Gist Nace for us to use towards Christ’s ministry.  These funds are to be dedicated to help the poor and those in need (both spiritually and physically) in our community and at St. John’s.  The funds will only be used with the approval of the vestry for these purposes.  A committee has been established to develop a plan to insure that the funds are used for the purpose for which they were given with vision for the future. People’s generosity towards St. John’s and God’s work is amazing!  Thank you Pam.

Second, I wanted to tell my church family how much I appreciate all the time, talent, dedication and hard work you have given to St John’s over the past 5 months.  You have made church life continue to flow with tremendous joy, grace and love.  We have accomplished a lot.  We’ve completed a large restoration project, hired and trained a new secretary all in just a few months.  Our committees for Fellowship, Evangelism, Outreach and Pastoral Care are up and going. Our lay ministers, choir, acolytes, and altar guild continue to provide us with smoothly run worship services, and the kitchen ladies steadily provide us with great meals. I could not do my work without all of you and your dedication to the Lord.  I especially appreciate the congregation’s faithful attendance while we are without a rector. I know it is hard having a different visiting supply priest every Sunday or so, but your dedication to the worship of our loving Lord and your faithfulness in receiving the sacraments is inspiring and uplifting. I am sure God is watching over us. Please continue to keep the Search process and St. John’s in your prayers as we journey through this time of transition. Again, thank you.  You are an amazing parish.
 God’s peace.  Allison
