 St. John’s Episcopal Church

Lenten Tidbits: “God wanted to liberate us not by removing suffering from us, but by sharing it with us.  Jesus, is God who suffers with us.”  Henri Nouwen

During Lent St. John’s is having evening prayer each Wednesday at 5:30 in the chapel.

St. John’s is going to be collecting $$ for the Ukrainian relief effort this next week and/or two.  We have selected “Direct Relief “ as our charitable organization.  Direct Relief specializes in medical supplies and setting up clinics in the surrounding countries where the refugees are seeking safe havens.  More detailed information on Direct Relief is available by opening this hyperlink.    https://www.directrelief.org/?homepage=homepage  Contributions made through St. John’s will appear as deductible donations for this year. Make checks out to St. John’s and note Direct Relief or Ukraine.  Checks are welcome this Sunday or can be mailed or dropped by the office.

Social distancing will be practiced in church and temperature checks are available as you enter.  Masks are required only during singing.  We will continue to have the church professionally sanitized each week. Thank you for your help.
