St. John’s Episcopal Church - Sunday, November 3, 2019

From Fr. Ray+

Along with many other Christians, Anglicans affirm the doctrine of the Communion of the Saints.  We find this in our Holy Scriptures and we sense it in our hearts.  Simply stated, it means those who have gone before us into the Lord's nearer presence are still with us and are part of the community of faith.  We acknowledge it in our Eucharistic Prayer when we say our celebration of the Eucharistic is with "angels and archangels and all the company of heaven."  This coming Sunday we will be observing All Saints' Day at St. John's. During our Prayers of the People we will read a list of names of our loved ones who have died.  If you would like to remember someone, please contact Marjie in the church office at 338-8115.  Our celebration will continue with a potluck lunch in the undercroft following worship.  Meat will be provided and everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.  I hope you will join us as we remember those who have passed on and enjoy the company of those who are still with us.

Blessings, Fr. Ray+
