St. John’s Episcopal Church             Sunday, April 17, 2016

ADULT EDUCATION:  Sunday, April 17, at 9:00 am.  We will continue to focus on the study of Matthew with the rest of Chapter 23 and Chapter 24. (N.T. Wright’s book).
SUNDAY SCHOOL:   Will meet at 9:00 at the First United Methodist Church.
WORSHIP:  April 17th, the Holy Eucharist, Rite II, with Rev. Ray Brown. 
READINGS for this Sunday (Fourth Sunday of Easter) are:  Acts 9:36-43; Psalm 23; Revelation 7:9-17; John 10:22-30.
MIDWEEK EUCHARIST will be in the chapel Thursday, April 21st, at 12:00 noon.
 St. John’s Good Samaritans (ECW):  Please feel free to call Maureen Jones (404-697-7197) or Jeannie Turley (870-816-6387) if you are in need of some help with errands or transportation or food, or if you would just like some company.

The Samaritan’s Purse:  Donations that will fit in a shoe box can be placed in the basket by front door.  Donations for April is:  Clothes for boys age 5-9.
Angels of Grace and Anchor Mission Ministry: The item from their wish list this week is laundry detergent. A plastic tub for each is located at the stair landing just outside the chapel.
Humane Society of the Delta:  Donations needed are cat litter, laundry detergent and large bath towels.  A large donation tub has been placed with the others.
Thursday, April 14th, at 12:00 Noon, Midweek Holy Eucharist in the Chapel.

Ray:  If you would like to serve as an oblationer at Sunday worship, please sign up on the sheet provided on the table with the bulletins.  Oblationers are those who bring the bread and wine forward during the offertory.  One person can bring both the bread and the wine or two persons can bring one element each.
