St. John’s Episcopal Church                      Sunday July 26, 2015

ADULT EDUCATION: Will not meet until Sept.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Will not meet during the months of June, July and Aug.
WORSHIP: July 26th Holy Eucharist Rite II with Rev Ken Parks from Bella Vista AR as officiant.
READINGS for July 26th are: 2 Kings 4:42-44; Psalm 145:10-19; Ephesians 3:14-21;
John: 6:1-21.
 Midweek service on July 29th.  We will have midweek Holy Eucharist with Unction and prayers for healing this Wednesday at 5:30 in the chapel with Rev. Arnold Hearn officiating.
FELLOWSHIP NEWS:  Coffee time at 9:30 til 10:15 in the undercroft every Sunday!
ALTAR GUILD NEWS:  Team 1 (Susan’s team) will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday,
 July 25th to polish all silver and brass.   Please let Susan know if you are unable to attend.
Pastoral Visitor: Angie Fielder This is a new ministry.  Each week the pastoral visitor or visitors will visit the members of St. John’s that are either sick or shut-in.
St. John’s Good Samaritans (ECW):  Please feel free to call Maureen Jones (404-697-7197) or Jeannie Turley (870-816-6387) if you are in need of some help with errands or transportation or food, or if you would just like some company.  These and other members of the church have graciously offered their time to assist anyone needing help.  If you would like to volunteer services, please let Maureen or Jeannie know.

The Samaritan’s Purse:   The Samaritan’s purse category for donations in July is:
Girls Toys for ages 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14.Dolls (baby, rag, teen and paper), jump ropes, Yo-Yo’s, Toy dishes, pots and pans, crayons, harmonica, horn, whistle (noise makers).  Flashlights with batteries, coloring books and colored markers.  Remember EVERYTHING must fit in a SHOE BOX!
Angels of Grace The item from their wish list this week is laundry detergent for the women’s shelter. Please place you items in the plastic tub at the stair landing just outside the chapel coming up from the undercroft. Our tub is rather empty now.
