Secretary news: some good, some bad: The bad news is that Jody Bridges will be leaving us.  She has done a wonderful job and has been a blessing to all who have worked with her.  We will miss her, but she realized that she really did prefer retirement over work.  The good news is she introduced us to Marjie Hamilton who has been in training and will be keeping the same office hours, Monday – Thursday 9:00-12:00 noon, when Jody leaves.  Please stop by to greet and meet Marjie. A big thank you to Jody and a warm welcome to Marjie.
EXCUSE OUR MESS! Hurd Construction and painting has begun the tuck point project on our bricks which will preserve our building for future generations.  There will also be some painting done.  Have patience with us while we undergo this facelift.  We are almost finished!  (One more week at the most.)
Sunday duties:
Acolyte – Ann Lee
Lay Eucharistic Minister – Ann Lee
Altar Guild – Lindalu Hargraves
FYI: Whitsunday is so named because the candidates for Baptism wore white on the Vigil of Pentecost.  Pentecost is from a Jewish festival called feast of weeks and takes place 50 days after Easter, hence the name Pentecost.
