ADULT EDUCATION: Class will meet at its regular time (9:00 am Sunday) and continue with its study of Matthew.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Will resume meeting at the First United Methodist church at 9:00 am under the direction of Jill Pillow.
WORSHIP: May 3, Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:30 am with Rev. Arnold Hearn from Marianna officiating.
Readings for the Fifth Sunday of Easter, May 3: Acts 8:26-40; Psalm 22:24-30, 1 John 4:7-21; John 15:1-8.
May 6, midweek Holy Eucharist will be in the chapel at 5:30. Rev. Arnold Hearn will be our celebrant at the midweek Wednesday Holy Eucharist.
ECW NEWS:  There will be an ECW meeting on May 5th at 5:00 pm at Munnie Jordan’s celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
St. John’s Good Samaritans (ECW):  Please feel free to call Maureen Jones (404-697-7197) or Jeannie Turley (870-816-6387) if you are in need of some help with errands or transportation or food, or if you would just like some company.  These and other members of the ECW have graciously offered their time to assist anyone needing help.  If you would like to volunteer services, please let Maureen or Jeannie know.

The Samaritan’s Purse: The Samaritan’s purse category for donation for MAY is:
BOYS 2-4 yrs.; Onesies, shoes & socks, pants and tops.
BOYS 5-9 yrs.; T shirts, jeans, shoes & socks, shorts and shirts.
BOYS 10-14 yrs.; T shirts, jeans, shorts, shirts and flip flops.
A basket for the collection of these items will be in the narthex every Sunday.
Angels of Grace –The item from their wish list this week is paper towels for the women’s shelter. Please place you items in the plastic tub at the stair landing just outside the chapel coming up from the undercroft. 
EXCUSE OUR MESS! Hurd Construction and painting has begun the tuck point project on our bricks which will preserve our building for future generations.  There will also be some painting done.  Have patience with us while we undergo this facelift.
