ADULT EDUCATION: Sunday at 9:00 am continues its study of Matthew.
SUNDAY SCHOOL (for age kindergarten through the 4th grade): Sunday at 9:00 am at the First United Methodist Church.  They are studying the life and teachings of Jesus leading up to Easter.  
WORSHIP: March 22nd, Holy Eucharist Rite I at 10:30 am with the Rev. Arnold Hearn as our celebrant. (Easter Lily Donation forms are now in your church bulletin & church office.)
Readings Sunday, Mar 22nd: Jeremiah 31:31-34; Psalm 51:1-13 or Psalm 119:9-16; Hebrews 5:5-10; John 12:20-33.
LENTEN EVENING PRAYER: All Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during Lent at 5:30 in the chapel.  This week’s worship leader is Ann Lee.
WEDNESDAY, March 25th, we will have Holy Eucharist at 5:30 in the chapel led by Arnold Hearn followed by a light meal hosted by Grace and David Henderson.
Palm Sunday, March 29th at 9:45 in the Methodist garden for the Blessing of the Palms; followed by Holy Eucharist at 10:30 with Rev. Jason Alexander, Canon to the Ordinary.
Wednesday, April 1st   at 5:30 in the chapel, Holy Eucharist and Unction with Rev. Arnold Heard.
Maundy Thursday, April 2nd   Holy Eucharist at 5:30 with the stripping of the cross with Rev. Stuart Hoke presiding.
Good Friday, April 3rd noon day service lead by Rev. Stuart Hoke

Easter Day, April 5th at 9:45 the flowering of the cross and Holy Eucharist at 10:30.
WEDNESDAY, March 25th, following the 5:30 Eucharist we will have our LENTEN MEAL hosted by Grace & David Henderson.
St. John’s Good Samaritans (ECW):  Please feel free to call Maureen Jones (404-697-7197) or Jeannie Turley (870-816-6387) if you are in need of some help with errands or transportation or food, or if you would just like some company.  These and other members of the ECW have graciously offered their time to assist anyone needing help.  If you would like to volunteer services, please let Maureen or Jeannie know.

The Samaritan’s Purse: The Samaritan’s purse category for donation for MARCH is: Accessories for girls age 5-14 (bracelets, hair bands, hair clips, necklaces, rings and earrings). Accessories for boys age 5-1 (sunglasses, visors, caps, hats, flip flops, boxers, & T-shirts with no logos). 
A basket for the collection of these items will be in the narthex every Sunday.
Angels of Grace –The item from their wish list this week is paper towels for the women’s shelter. Their office is on 406 Pecan Street.
SATURDAY, MARCH 28th at 10:00 am All altar guild members will meet to make palm crosses and polish silver.  Everyone is welcomed.
THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd at 5:30 pm All altar guild members will strip the altar at the Maundy Thursday service.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4th at 10:00 am All altar guild members will meet to prepare the church for Easter.
Easter Lily forms will be in your bulletin.  The price of the lilies is $16.00.  Please make checks payable to St. John’s Altar Guild.  The last day to turn in your Easter lily donation form and have it printed in the program is Monday, March 23. You may pick up these forms in the church office also.

The Helena United Methodist Church women cordially invite everyone to attend “Lenten Listening” services beginning Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18th at 12:00 noon each week.  These services will continue on Wednesday through April 1st.  Bring a sandwich and they will furnish beverage and dessert.  A nursery will be provided.  This week’s speaker will be Rev. Gary Maskell with music by Naya Washington.
