Please come to St. John’s for worship and fellowship this Sunday, Feb. 8th.  The 9 a.m. Adult Class will continue to study the Gospel of Matthew and share homemade baked goodies during class.  Sunday school for kindergarten through 4th grade will study Jonathan and friendship and will meet at the Methodist church. Our celebrant for the 10:30 service will be Canon Jason Alexander from Little Rock.
Readings Sunday, Feb. 1st: Isaiah 40:21-31; Psalm 147:1-12, 21c; 1 Corinthians9:16-23; Mark 1:29-39.

Wednesday, Feb. 11th we will have Holy Eucharist at 5:30 with Rev. Arnold Hearn from Marianna as our celebrant.
St. John’s Good Samaritans (ECW):  Please feel free to call Maureen Jones (404-697-7197) or Jeannie Turley (870-816-6387) if you are in need of some help with errands or transportation or food, or if you would just like some company.  These and other members of the ECW have graciously offered their time to assist anyone needing help.  If you would like to volunteer services, please let Maureen or Jeannie know.

The Diocesan Convention will be held on Friday, February 13th and Saturday, February 14th     
Susan Carter and Lorraine Ferryman are our delegates.
Lent starts February 18th  at 5:30 pm in the chapel with Holy Eucharist and the disposition of ashes.  Arnold Hearn with be our celebrant.
We will have our regular Evening Prayer services on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during Lent.  On Wednesdays we will have Holy Eucharist followed by a light meal.  Jayne and Walter Morris will host our first meal after Eucharist on Wednesday, February 25th..
St. Mary’s Catholic Church is hosting its annual Mardi Gras Seafood dinner and raffle event again this year on February the 6th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Contact their church office to purchase tickets which are $15.00.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is offering a one-day Lectio Divina Workshop on Saturday, March, 7 2015.  The cost is $25 which includes lunch. It runs from 8:30am-3:00pm.  St. Mark’s is located at 1000 N. Mississippi, Little rock, AR.  Lectio Divina is a way of paying the scriptures. It is a means of listening to the word of God in Scripture and a traditional way of cultivating a friendship with Christ.  You can register by calling their church office at 501-225-4203.
